The Investment Director will work directly with the CEO to develop the investment strategy of Vingroup Ventures.
This role requires a broad skill set that includes: a high-level understanding of the venture investing market, the
ability to source and analyze deals, deep knowledge of the due diligence process, strong presentation skills and an
entrepreneurial mindset that is able to deal with ambiguity and change. This role is based in HCMC.
Our goal is to be a strong supporter of the startup ecosystem in Vietnam and globally. You will be an integral part
of the leadership team. We have a learning culture - which means you must enjoy teaching as well as learning.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Devise investment strategies to achieve Vingroup Ventures' objectives
- Analyze investments including creating and checking financial models, company and industry analysis
- Lead due diligence, direct transaction team and coordinate transaction execution and closing
- Monitor the performance of portfolio companies
- Take Board seats on investee company boards
- Coach, develop and mentor a team of investment managers and associates. Responsible for skills training
and career planning for the investment team
- Develop and manage reporting system for deal pipeline and portfolio companies
- Write thought pieces to be published and presented at industry events
- Other projects as needed

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING
- Extensive experience and knowledge of the venture investing market in Vietnam. Additional experience
in Asia and other regions is a plus
- Existing personal network within the startup ecosystem
- Excellent financial modeling and accounting skills
- Practical knowledge of key legal terms and issues used within venture investments
- An excellent presenter who is confident in pitching at a Board level and in front of large audiences
- Effective relationship management skills and demonstrated credibility with investment teams
- Technically proficient, with advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Thinker
- Detail-oriented and analytical. This is a highly data-driven role. You must love numbers
- Like to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty. No project is too small
- Work well in teams, and also independent enough to figure things out on your own
- Ability and willingness to travel
REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years of combined work experience in venture capital/private equity/investment banking and
operational experience at a startup or large corporation. If you have worked in several of these areas,
that is a definite plus
- International work experience or studies is a plus, but not required
- Fluent in written/spoken English and Vietnamese
- Excellent Excel skills
