Welding Engineer (At Least 5 Years Experience)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welding Engineer responsible for developing, qualifying, and maintaining welding procedures in accordance with relevant standards (AWS, ASME, EN, ISO, API and NACE). This role will focus on ensuring quality control and inspection of welded components and providing technical support to production teams.
Responsibilities:
• Welding Procedure Development and Qualification:
o Develop and qualify welding procedures (WPS/PQR) in accordance with AWS, ASME, EN, ISO, API, NACE standards and project-specific requirements.
o Prepare welding procedure qualification records (WPQR) and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
o Organize and conduct welders' qualification test (WQT) as per welding codes and client/project specifications.
o Conduct welding trials and tests to validate welding procedures.
o Maintain and update welding procedure documentation.
• Quality Control and Inspection:
o Develop and implement welding inspection plans and procedures.
o Perform visual inspections, non-destructive testing (NDT), and destructive testing of welded components.
o Interpret NDT results and evaluate weld quality.
o Ensure compliance with quality control standards and specifications.
o Manage and maintain welding inspection records.
o Coordinate with 3rd party inspectors.
• Technical Support:
o Provide technical support to production teams on welding processes, procedures, and equipment.
o Troubleshoot welding problems and implement corrective actions.
o Train welding personnel on welding procedures and quality control requirements.
o Evaluate and select welding consumables and equipment.
o Liaise with authorized inspector, third party and clients to exchange ideas, information, or offer technical advice concerning welding matters.
o Coordinate technical queries with the sales team & project management team (PMT).
• Documentation and Reporting:
o Prepare and maintain accurate welding documentation, including WPS, PQR, inspection reports, and test records.
o Generate reports on welding performance and quality.
