Background

World Vision is a Christian relief, development, and advocacy organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of people, especially marginalized children living in poverty. World Vision serves all those in need, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender. As a child-focused organization, its work prioritizes the protection of children and ensuring their basic needs are met.

World Vision International In Viet Nam (WVV) is supported by multiple countries and funded through a combination of sponsorship programs (majority) and Private Non-Sponsorship (PNS)/grants. WVV operates across 14 provinces and implements Area Programs (APs) that focus on communities with high levels of poverty, often including ethnic minority populations. In addition to APs, WVV implements various Special and Grant Projects to address the specific needs of vulnerable children in both AP and non-AP areas.

WVV is headquartered in Hanoi, while majority of staff are based locally in Area Programs and project sites across the country which enables them to work closely with government partners and communities on a daily basis.

Purpose of Position

Play a critical part in maintaining financial integrity, compliance with WVI policies, and accountability for all funding resources, including sponsorship, non-sponsorship, and grant funding, including:

Key Responsibilities

Financial Compliance, ensure the compliance with WV Policy and Procedure, Field Financial Manual (FFM) and local regulations.
Budget Management and Financial Reports: Assist the AP or Project Manager in planning and developing project budget, complete the monthly financial report, check and verify the Financial System, and update the Manager on the project spending status and pattern.
Data Analysis and Funding Acquisition Support: Perform financial data analysis and provide financial forecast to assist AP/Project Manager, support in additional funding acquisition for AP.
System Administration and Security: Establish and maintain a systematic filing system of key documents, maintain all financial and other records required for audit purposes, and take responsibility for personal security.

Knowledge & Skill

Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; Motorbike driving license is required
Good knowledge of accounting theory and financial statements, and at least three years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably with international humanitarian organizations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.
Language requirement: Vietnamese: Fully fluent. English: Intermediate

Experience

- Minimum 2 years' experience in finance and accounting, preferably with international humanitarian organizations
