Experienced A/P Accountant - Antwerp HQ
To strengthen our Finance Team at our headquarters in Antwerp, Manuchar is looking for an experienced A/P Accountant with a solid background in complex, high-volume accounting environments. In this role, you will focus on accurate and timely execution of accounts payable processes within a centralized finance structure, while contributing to process improvements and increased efficiency across the team.
Your responsibilities
- Process A/P invoices and bank statements accurately and within deadlines
- Prepare and review vendor payments and maintain the A/P subledger
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Ensure high-quality processing in a high-volume environment, in line with Belgian GAAP and internal guidelines
- Identify inefficiencies and contribute to process optimization, standardization and automation initiatives
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (commercial teams, Treasury, Accounting) and act as point of contact for vendor-related queries
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, VAT regulations and audit requirements
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent through experience
- Minimum 3 years of A/P experience in a complex, high-volume environment
- Experience in a multinational or shared service center is strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of VAT and transactional accounting processes
- Strong interest in process improvement, automation and efficiency
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Power BI is an asset
- Excellent command of English; Dutch is a plus
