ABOUT THE POSITION
The Alumni, Industry and Development Officer will report to the Head of Alumni, Industry & Development, and will play a key role in university-industry partnership, career services support for VinUni students, alumni and alumni engagement.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Industry Engagement activities:
- Support the Department Head to develop and prepare VinUniversity's annual communication plan to industry and other relevant stakeholders.
- Draft engaging messaging for industry and other relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate key engagement materials and training resources for use by engagement team colleagues.
- Support the Alumni, Industry & Development team's work with other departments, to ensure that processes are in-line with the engagement materials and communications.
- Support the Head in engaging other Vingroup's business units and major companies.
- Maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Career Service Management (CSM) systems and ensure the integrity of the data.
- Be responsible for ad-hoc projects as required by line manager such as analysis of key data points within corporate responses to inform campaign outreach.
- Organize meetings and in charge of the reception of university guests to VinUni.
- Manage the budget of the Department.
2. Career Readiness and Alumni activities:
- Support and provide career guidance to recent graduates and alumni.
- Educate students about career exploration and application process, resume and cover letter building, tests, interviews, assessment centers, job expectations and professionalism.
- Provide 1-1 career counselling to students and alumni
- Maintain regular contacts with companies for new job opportunities.
- Provide work placement assistance to students according to industry partner's and VinUni policies
- Hold seminars on interview skills and job search strategies.
- Organize job fairs, career programs, and other career activities.
- Conduct research to analyze employment trends both locally and nationally.
- Develop strong relationships with potential employers to build internship and career opportunities for students.
3. Operation & Administration:
- Database: Maintain and improve the career placement database that can capture collaborations between the university and industry partners.
- Record & Filling system: Maintain and update the record of keeping and filing system of job postings, employer contacts, industry partners, alumni database and status, etc.
- Administration: Assist in the administration of the operations of the jobs in charge.
- Stakeholder management: Ensure quality and timely responses to a variety of written requests from industry partners, students for information relating to career services via telephone, correspondence and/or electronic mail.
