Art Teaching Assistant

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Maintain and carry out regular maintenance and minor repair tasks on all machines and equipment in relevant teaching spaces to ensure safety and reliability.
• Clean and sharpen hand tools and maintain good order and organization of the workshop and storage facilities.
• Keep sinks and worktops clean, keep stock rooms clean and in good order
• Prepare materials and equipment for lessons and projects, including preparation of demonstration materials and resources and the stocking of classrooms with consumable materials.
• Order resources through the correct channels, receive incoming good, check delivery notes and confirm invoices.
• Assist in the production of risk assessment where applicable.
• Provide in-class support to teachers and students where necessary.
• Ensure that teacher requirements for individual lessons are effectively met prior to and at the end of each lesson.
• Prepare display materials and equipment or parent evenings, art exhibitions if requested.
• Organize and implement the supporting of students online to set up and support Design & Art teacher with online lessons.
• Set up the Maker Space to research and order equipment as needed.
• Undertake other tasks as requested by line manager.
• Any other duty as assigned by the Head of School after due consultation.
