The Job
As a Backend Engineer at Everfit, you'll play a critical role in shaping the infrastructure behind our AI-powered fitness coaching platform. Your contributions will directly support coaches and users around the world.
- Develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services using [protected info]
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and help evolve our microservices architecture.
- Translate business and customer needs into reliable, high-performance applications.
- Collaborate closely with a small, agile team through scrum rituals, prototyping, and code reviews.
- Contribute to the overall architecture, scalability, and quality of our backend systems.
Your Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of professional experience working with [protected info] (ES6).
- Intermediate English communication skills - you're willing to grow with us.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design and backend architecture.
- Experienced with [protected info], MongoDB, Redis, and PostgreSQL.
- Familiar with unit testing frameworks like Jest or Mocha, and passionate about code quality.
- Able to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, ECS, Lambda).
- Familiarity with message queues (e.g., Kafka, SQS).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, ECS).
- Understanding of microservices and distributed systems.
- Familiar with authentication/authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth2, JWT).
