Big Data Engineer AWS, Spark, Hive SQL

We are seeking a Senior Big Data Engineer with strong technical expertise and leadership potential to join our growing team in Vietnam. This is a hands-on role with an estimated 80% focus on development and 20% on team coordination and technical guidance.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of impactful data solutions, optimize our data infrastructure, and help shape the direction of our big data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient data warehouse solutions on the AWS cloud platform.
• Develop and optimize ETL processes to integrate external data sources with internal databases, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Automate and streamline data analysis tasks to improve processing efficiency and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business requirements, ensure compliance, and deliver analytics/reporting services.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure reliability and performance.
• Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance our big data ecosystem.

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in big data engineering, with demonstrated technical capabilities at a Middle to Senior level.
• Proficiency in AWS or equivalent cloud platforms, with hands-on experience in big data services (e.g., S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena, EMR).
• Strong expertise in at least one programming language (Python, Java, or Scala) for practical implementation.
• Advanced skills in Hive SQL for complex data analysis and reporting.
• Proven experience with Hadoop, Hive, Spark, or similar big data technologies.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and independently develop/optimize data solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze, diagnose, and resolve data-related issues.
