The Job
Company Overview: Join our dynamic team, where we prioritize quality and excellence in our business application development. We are in search of a dedicated Business Application QA Analyst who will ensure our applications meet the highest standards of reliability, efficiency, and user-friendliness.
- Requirement Understanding:
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand application requirements and design.
- Test Planning & Strategy:
- Develop detailed test plans and strategies for functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Design and implement automated tests where applicable.
- Test Automation in a DevOps Environment:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate test automation into deployment processes.
- Ensure automated tests are executed during the CI/CD process and any failures are addressed promptly.
- Test Execution:
- Execute test cases, ensuring the application's performance, reliability, and stability.
- Identify, log, and prioritize defects and inconsistencies.
- Quality Control:
- Review the software development process to ensure quality standards are met.
- Monitor debugging process results and track quality assurance metrics.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the development and DevOps teams to ensure quality is maintained throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain documentation of test results, and provide regular updates on quality metrics.
- Analyze and report on any patterns or trends in software defects.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with new testing tools, test strategies, and best practices in a DevOps environment.
- Recommend improvements in software to enhance user experience.
Your Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in software quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with automated testing tools and their integration into CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and DevOps development processes.
