POSITION OBJECTIVE
The
Business Development Manager is responsible for building and expanding the strategic partner ecosystem, developing the Australian study abroad market, and building and growing the U.S. market - in order to increase the pipeline of prospective students, expand the service portfolio, and lead the business team to achieve sustainable growth targets.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Partner & School Channel Development
• Identify, approach, and sign cooperation agreements with universities, colleges, high schools, and educational organizations in the United States.
• Develop a network of agents, consulting partners, and related service providers within the study abroad ecosystem.
• Maintain and strengthen long-term relationships with existing partners; periodically monitor and evaluate the performance of each partner channel.
• Negotiate cooperation terms, commissions, scholarship support, and incentives offered to students through the company.
2. Prospective Student Growth (Lead Generation)
• Plan and implement student pipeline development campaigns through B2B partners, schools, language centers, and parent communities.
• Coordinate with the Partnership and Marketing departments to develop content, events, and communication campaigns targeting parents and target students.
3. Service & Study Abroad Ecosystem Development
• Connect with ancillary service providers (insurance, accommodation, visa support) to expand a comprehensive service ecosystem.
• Propose new business models and service packages aligned with market trends and customer needs.
4. Market Building & Development
• Analyze and evaluate trends in Australian and U.S. study abroad markets, identifying new market opportunities.
• Develop market entry strategies and expand the geographic scope of operations, both domestically and internationally.
• Represent the company at international education conferences, exhibitions, and industry networking events.
• Monitor competitors and provide timely recommendations for strategic adjustments.
1. Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in International Business, Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in business development, B2B sales, or partner management; experience in the education / study abroad industry is preferred.
• Understanding of the Australian and U.S. education systems, admissions processes, and student visa procedures is a strong advantage.
• Experience managing a team of 3 or more people.
2. Skills & Competencies

• Strong strategic thinking and ability to execute business plans effectively.
• Fluent English (professional verbal and written communication).
• An existing network within the education, study abroad industry, or international organizations is an advantage.
