ROLE PURPOSE
Responsible for the expansion of service and business outside the confines of the current framework of MWC's Vietnam Associate Company, Thu Duc Water BOO Corporation (479 Hanoi Avenue, Linh Trung Ward, Thu Duc City), within the MWC's Vietnam Associate Company, it is the BDM's responsibility to expand the service offering of the company to increase the business potential. Business expansion includes the clean water and wastewater provision and possible rendering new product line to existing clients. Outside the current client of MWC's Vietnam Associate Company, the BDM keeps an eye out for new business opportunities and capitalizes on these by creating self-sustaining business models that will drive net income and act as an enabler to business growth. The BDM shall be expected to create and develop business opportunities anchored on the needs and potential synergies with the existing and new target clients.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Market Research and Development
• Conducts extensive market research prior to project start up and continues gathering information throughout the development of the project.
• Identifies the project's risks and formulates mitigation strategies and detailed action plans.
2. Strategic Execution
• Prepares a detailed business plan and establishes clear project goals and objectives to complete the end-to-end business development process.
• Create favorable relationship with potential markets and capitalize on it to better understand market needs that would lead to development of entry-point projects.
3. Internal
• Organizes the project's due diligence team and manages the same so that the technical / legal / financial information about the project are properly analyzed and captured in the financial model.
• Manages internal project communications which includes updates to concerned departments / groups, marketing of interest from support teams / units, project presentation / approvals to Investment Committee / BOD of Associate Company or others (if any).
• Manages safekeeping of all relevant technical/financial/legal documents about the project and ensures proper turnover of the same to the operating/takeover team upon successful project closure.
• Perform other tasks assigned by General Director of MWC's Associate Company and/or MWC Chief Representative in Vietnam.
4. External
• Negotiates the scope, tariff, service level agreement, warranty, payment scheme, among others in order to come up with a project that will generate revenue and net income.
• Manages external project information to cater specific stakeholders: Investors, Media, Relevant Government Units, SEC Disclosures, partners, contractors and support groups.
• Collaborate with external partners to execute the assigned tasks.
Update information about competitors and market trends.
5. Target and Execution
• Prepares, seeks approval, and manages the project's development cost budget.
• Develops and manages project portfolios to generate the sufficient project returns vis-à-vis financial, technical, and organizational exposure of the company.
6. Stakeholder database, Networking
• Develops a network of customer database and analysis of their needs and wants in order to identify new business opportunities.
Identifies and manages key personalities and water professionals that can be tapped as champions to push forward business plans and proposals.
• Extends support to the rest of the Organization in terms of utilizing established network.
7. Relationship Building
Creates and strengthens relationships with relevant government units (i.e. DENR, DoF, DoC), NGOs, private and investing sectors.
8. Vendor, Service Providers, and Contractors' Relations and Other Cross-functional Relations
• Relates with external service providers and establishes a strong support group for the preparation of plans and project proposals.
• Conducts project management, with support from Technical Services Group, Project Management Group Business and Technical Operations Groups, for the implementation of development works and feasibility studies.
WORK LOCATIONS, WORKING TIME
• Travel within Vietnam and abroad if applicable.
• Work 40hr per week.
• Negotiable salary which depends on candidate's working experience.
• Paid leave under local Labour Law (1 day-off/ month).
• Other benefits pursuant to collective labour agreement of MWC's Associate Company (TDW BOO).
• Training course from Corporation.
Yêu cầu
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Vietnamese (Age below 35).
• Graduate of any 4-year course with a degree in Business.
• Administration/Marketing, Finance, or Engineering.
• Preferably with a minimum of 02 years' experience in the same field.
• Preferably with technical knowledge of project life cycle related to water, wastewater and other environmental services.
• Proficient in English, capable of reading, understanding, and translating specialized documents.
• Experience in market research, fieldwork, and project evaluation.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including to provinces.
• Honest, dynamic, sharp, enthusiastic, capable of working independently and in a team.
