Role Overview
As a Business Development Manager, you play a pivotal role in accelerating Adtek's growth. You identify market opportunities, design scalable business development models, and lead a high-performing BD team to achieve ambitious revenue goals. This role requires strong commercial acumen, deep B2B relationship-building capabilities, and the ability to turn market insights into actionable business strategies. You will collaborate closely with the Managing Director and cross-functional departments to expand Adtek's footprint among SME and Enterprise clients.
Your Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Planning
- Support the Managing Director in developing B2B Business Development strategies for SME and Enterprise segments.
- Build, implement, and continuously refine BD models to ensure operational efficiency and scalability.
- Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities aligned with company objectives.
- Develop detailed sales plans (quarterly, monthly, weekly) for both individual and team performance targets.
Performance Management
- Manage the overall performance of the BD team, including target achievement, sales pipeline quality, and activity metrics (approaches, meetings, briefs, proposals).
- Support team members throughout the sales process to maximize win rates.
- Collaborate with internal departments to optimize sales processes, shorten sales cycles, and improve conversion rates across the funnel.
Sales Execution
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients across diverse industries.
- Lead and manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, approach strategy, proposals, presentations, and negotiations.
- Ensure all BD activities support the company's growth strategy and revenue commitments.
People Management
- Develop detailed headcount and recruitment plans; work with HR to hire top BD talent.
- Train, coach, and mentor
Business Development Executives to enhance competencies and career progression.
Candidate Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or other relevant fields.
- Minimum 3 years of management experience in BD, Sales, or Account Management roles.
- At least 1 year of B2B sales experience with a strong network of corporate clients.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Strong influencing and project management capabilities.
- High ownership mindset, self-motivation, and resilience.
- Willingness to learn, grow, and step beyond comfort zones.
- Ability to participate in client engagement activities outside of standard working hours when needed, to build and strengthen relationships in a professional manner.
