Strategic Sourcing: Lead the sourcing process. Collaborate with the Engineering and Production teams to translate technical requirements into comprehensive Request for Proposals (RFPs).
Vendor Management & Compliance: Conduct rigorous Due Diligence and "Red Flag" screening on vendors (financial stability, international certifications like CE/ISO, and past performance).
Total Cost of Ownership Analysis: Evaluate bids not just on the purchase price, but on the full lifecycle cost, including installation, energy consumption, maintenance, and spare parts availability.
Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations on complex commercial terms, including:
Payment milestones.
Performance Guarantees and Liquidated Damages.
Warranty terms and After-sales support Service Level Agreements.
Logistics Coordination: Work closely with the Logistics team to manage the importation of heavy machinery, and ensuring the safe delivery of oversized cargo to the factory site.
Key Performance Indicators
Cost Savings: Variance between the initial budget/quote and the final negotiated price.
On-Time Delivery: Compliance with the project timeline to ensure zero delays in factory commissioning.
Compliance Rate: 100% adherence to internal procurement policies and external food safety/machinery standards (FDA/EU compliance for equipment).
