Mô tả công việc
General purpose of the position:
Ensure that all activities within the hospital setting in relation with the patients' nutrition care, kitchen sanitation and food safety insurance, follow the best practices and comply with the local and international standards for the quality and safety of patients' care.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Daily routine
Provide nutrition care and follow-up to hospitalized patients
o Perform nutritional assessment for patients at risk (Nutrition Screening Score ≥7) and all ICU patients.
o Develop and document a Nutrition Care Plan for patients identified as malnourished or at risk of becoming malnourished.
o Visit patients on a daily/regular basis to follow-up their nutrition/medical condition and provide updates to Medical Nutritionist for patient's status on nutrition therapy.
o Giving recommendations (if there's any) about the special diets for patients in mild/moderate malnutrition which are not referred for Nutrition Therapy under Medical Nutritionist.
o Educate to patients and their family/caregiver about the nutrition care therapy objectives, outcomes, diet limitations, discharge dietary instructions, etc for patients in mild/moderate malnutrition which are not referred for Nutrition Therapy under Medical Nutritionist.
o Attend hand-over meeting with doctors and nurses in IPD when required.
Provide nutrition consultation in OPD in Oncology Department:
o Perform nutritional assessment and basic consultation in Oncology Department when required.
Other assignments
o In collaboration with Medical Nutritionist and other dietician:
- Ensure the continuity of Nutrition/Dietetic services and uniform care of IPD patients 7/7: on-call during weekends and on-duty during public holidays and annual leaves.
- Develop all official documents regarding the nutrition therapy practice in the hospital such as policies & procedures, guidelines, work instructions, forms, etc.
- Develop patients' nutrition education materials.
- Select the nutrition products available on the market to be included into the Pharmacy's inventory.
- Participate to the hospital quality assurance project and comply with the hospital policy & procedures and other official documents.
o In collaboration with F&B Department:
- Create dietary/normal menus and recipes appropriate to patients' nutritional status and consistent with their medical condition.
- Ensure that a variety of food choices is regularly available by taking into account food quality, diversity and availability, the kitchen's organization/budget, and patients, families or staffs' suggestions/complaints.
- Conducts Diet Therapy Training with Pantry Staffs and Dietetic Kitchen Chefs on a regular basis.
- Consolidates Customer Feedback reports and Incident reports related to F&B
o Ensure that food served to patients, staffs and customers, is safe and prepared or stored following the current acceptable good hygiene practices:
- Ensure the right implementation of the HACCP based system
- Lead the corrective action plan
- Collaborates with outsourced QA Team for Food Safety Training on a regular basis
- Conducts monthly HACCP Audit monitoring
o Develop nutrition education events:
- Provide nutrition education classes on various nutrition related topics (e.g. birth preparation classes)
- Upon request, provide nutrition education events outside of the hospital (e.g. school, seminar, conference, sport center, etc.)
o Promote the nutrition and dietetics services:
- Collaborate with the marketing department to promote and advertise the nutrition and dietetics (e.g. write articles for FV website, magazines, do interviews with journalists, etc.)
o Member of the Nutrition Committee
o Member of Patient Education Team
o Handle any other tasks as assigned by the Head of Department
Yêu cầu
1. Qualification: Bachelor or Master of Dietetics
2. Experience: Practice in Dietetics in hospital at least 6 months training
3. Skills and knowledge: Dietetics/MOH Food safety regulations/HACCP/JCI based-system knowledge
4. Foreign language(s): English / Vietnamese
