Mô tả công việc
The job holder will be responsible for all pick up and last mile delivery operations at the depots and ensuring timely, accurate and profitable pick up & delivery of shipments to customer.
Customers
- Provide high quality services and demonstrate DHL value to customers while meeting and satisfying customers' needs
Operations Manager (North / South)
- Achieve the operations KPI and business goals by communicating and providing full functional support to the management team
External vendors
- Ensure the performance of all vendors in line with DHL team and meet standards
Financial
Support Depot in developing the annual budget
Ensure adherence to budgeted capital and operational costs for the Depot on a regular basis and take corrective actions, if any
Operational
- Oversee the work of supervisors & PDAs staff to ensure adherence to the operational workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Execution Excellence in the Depot (e.g. On-time delivery performance, Transit times, RTO reduction, reduction in errors, cash handling etc).
- Monitor daily resources and plan pick up schedule accordingly
- Responsible for supervising daily inbound and operations at the Depots
- Analyse load patterns on a periodic basis to plan delivery routes for first and last mile connectivity to customers
- Monitor daily loads and plan delivery schedules accordingly
- Ensure timely receipt of shipments from central Hub
- Ensure safe, timely and profitable delivery of shipments to customers and work towards reduction of instances of undelivered shipments etc.
- Ensure daily collection & reconciliations of COD amount, as well as the deposit of the cash at a suitable bank.
- Ensure availability of sufficient vehicles for inbound operations
- Oversee vehicle placement at bays and monitor the carting/ loading, tally processes etc
- Ensure safe handling of all shipments and report any damaged cases to the origin/ hub
- Handle all exception cases; On a daily basis check on the exceptions of the previous day and ensure follow up for closure/ resolution of the same
- Ensure smooth conduct of all operation support activities as per defined timelines and requirements in terms of mail reverts and handling of all exception cases e.g. regulatory issues, priority/ urgent shipment connections, etc.
- Generate and maintain MIS related to the Delivery centre
- Produce improvement proposals for all processes related to depot operations
- Ensure safe and secure workplace and environment.
- Ensure that Depot and working processes meet / improve upon them regulatory and environmental obligations.
- Ensure proper maintenance of the facility, equipment and infrastructure in accordance with regional guidelines and company image
- Provide direction, guidance and support to subordinates to help them discharge their duties effectively
- Monitor the performance of subordinates on a continuous basis to identify key performers and mentor and coach them effectively
- Evaluate Depot supervisors and decide on staffing
