Job overview The SAP Public Cloud Consultant (FICO / SD / MM) will act as a key functional expert within the AMS team, providing advanced troubleshooting, solution design, and advisory support for SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud. Depending on the core module focus (Finance & Controlling or Sales & Procurement/Supply Chain), this role ensures the operational stability of business processes across multiple countries, resolves complex functional issues, and supports global enhancements and integrations.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
Advanced Incident Resolution: Handle and resolve complex L3 tickets escalated beyond L1/L2, including deep configuration issues, data inconsistencies, and localization challenges across core functional areas (FICO: GL, AP, AR, AA, CO / SD: Order-to-Cash, Pricing, Billing / MM: Procure-to-Pay, Inventory, Logistics).
Solution Design: Lead functional design and provide expert input for system enhancements, new entity/country rollouts, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Public Cloud Expertise: Ensure proper system configuration and strict adherence to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud standards, best practice scope items, and clean-core principles.
Localization & Statutory Compliance: Support country-specific localization requirements, including tax regulations, statutory reporting, e-invoicing, multi-currency handling, and trade compliance.
Integration Oversight: Collaborate with integration specialists and technical teams for seamless connectivity with third-party systems (Salesforce, SuccessFactors/Workday, custom billing engines, and external banks/APIs).
Defect Transparency: Provide independent defect analysis and root-cause investigation to ensure accountability and seamless handover between AMS support and implementation project teams.
Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline and optimize core business processes, reporting capabilities, and process automation.
Mentorship & Knowledge Transfer: Coach and mentor L1/L2 support consultants, document advanced standard operating procedures (SOPs), and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions.
🛠️ Required Skills &
Experience
3 years of hands-on SAP functional consulting experience, with proven expertise in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
Strong functional competency in at least one primary track:
FICO Track: Deep knowledge of General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable/Receivable (AP/AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Cost Center Accounting, and Profitability Analysis.
SD/MM Track: In-depth knowledge of Order-to-Cash (sales orders, pricing, billing, shipping) and/or Procure-to-Pay (purchasing, inventory management, invoice verification, vendor management).
Public Cloud Extensibility: Practical exposure or understanding of SAP Public Cloud extensibility frameworks (ABAP Cloud, Key User Extensibility, CDS views, SAP Fiori applications).
Localization: Solid understanding of multi-country localization, legal entity setups, tax reporting, and local statutory requirements.
AMS Experience: Proven track record in AMS L3 application support or maintenance environments for multinational/global clients.
Communication: Fluent professional English (written and spoken) with exceptional communication skills to coordinate effectively with business stakeholders, program managers, and global delivery teams.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, capable of diagnosing and resolving escalated issues under tight SLA targets.
✅ Preferred Qualifications
Official SAP S/4HANA Cloud (Public Edition) Certification in Finance (FI), Sourcing and Procurement (MM), or Sales (SD).
Prior experience participating in large-scale, multi-country rollout or cutover projects.
Familiarity with enterprise IT Service Management (ITSM) and ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or SAP Cloud ALM.
