Owns: Strategic partnerships; public policy & government affairs; internal & external communications; corporate branding & reputation; senior-level business development support
Level: Director - a member of the Executive Leadership Team

Location: Hanoi-based, with regular domestic travel
About Nami Distributed Energy
Nami Distributed Energy is a leading distributed-energy investment platform in Vietnam - rooftop solar, battery storage, DPPAs and other distributed-energy solutions on a zero-capex, build-own-operate model - helping manufacturers cut energy costs and decarbonise. Backed by the Southeast Asia Clean Energy Fund II (Clime Capital) alongside leading development-finance investors - with a strong operating track record and a large development pipeline - we are scaling toward a gigawatt-scale portfolio.
Why this role
Vietnam's distributed-energy market is entering a period of strong, policy-driven growth, and Nami is scaling to match it. We are creating this new senior role to bring strategic partnerships, public policy, communications and corporate brand together under one leader, working directly with the CEO.
Role purpose The Corporate Affairs & Strategic Growth Director leads three connected agendas: strategic partnerships with institutional counterparts; constructive public-policy engagement that strengthens the enabling environment; and an integrated corporate narrative that builds trust with employees, clients, government, partners, investors and the wider public.
Key responsibilities
A. Strategic partnerships
• Build and maintain senior relationships and partnership agreements with governmental authorities, industrial-park owners, and business, financial and international partners.
• Act as deal captain for senior-level opportunities - originated by the CEO or through the Director's own networks - driving them from first engagement to signed agreement.
B. Public policy & government affairs
• Develop and execute Nami's public-policy and government-affairs agenda; monitor policy and regulatory developments affecting renewable energy, power markets and industrial development, and translate them into clear executive advice and business actions.
• Build trusted, transparent relationships with governmental authorities and regulators, industry associations and policy influencers; coordinate consultations, position papers and evidence-based advocacy - operating to the business-integrity and compliance standards expected of a DFI-backed company.
C. Integrated communications & reputation
• Internal: set the communication strategy, governance and standards so employees understand Nami's direction and priorities; advise the CEO and leadership on town halls, business updates and announcements - including sensitive matters - in partnership with Human Resources.
• External: own media relations, corporate announcements, thought leadership, events and digital channels as the central point for media engagement and disciplined approvals; develop narratives and case studies that demonstrate Nami's impact; lead issues and crisis communication with the CEO; and support the CEO and CFO on the capital-market narrative (investor relations remains with the CEO and CFO).
D. Corporate branding & market awareness
• Define and steward Nami's corporate brand - positioning, messaging, visual identity and tone of voice - with practical governance and guidelines for consistent application.
• Build sustained market presence and institutional-grade visibility - PR, the CEO's public platform, thought leadership, events and digital - using publicly available and approved information only; select and manage agencies, partners and budgets.
Priorities in the first 12 months
• Institutional partnership agreements signed and activated with priority counterparts.
• Nami's public-policy engagement platform established, with Nami recognized as a constructive industry voice.
• The corporate narrative, brand foundation and communications engine built and running.
Qualifications & competencies
Must have
• 10+ years in corporate-affairs leadership: public policy, government affairs, corporate brand and integrated internal/ external communications.
• A track record of building institutional partnerships in Vietnam - with government bodies, industrial groups or large corporates - with strong deal-shaping and negotiation skills.
• Established relationships with governmental authorities, industrial-park owners and institutional stakeholders.
• Policy acumen: converts complex regulatory developments into practical business implications and credible advocacy positions.
• Operates as an extension of the CEO - autonomy, discretion and disciplined follow-through - with AI-enabled ways of working and a bias for action.
• Fluent Vietnamese and professional English, with the gravitas to represent Nami credibly with governmental leaders, group owners and investors.
Preferred
• Reputation, issues and crisis-communication experience advising senior leaders through sensitive, high-impact situations.
• Brand-stewardship experience directing specialist teams and agencies; sector exposure to energy, infrastructure or industrial real estate; standing in international business communities.
