Data Governance Manager

• Data Governance
- Perform all responsibilities in accordance with VietJet Air Competencies, compliance, regulatory and Information Protection requirements.
- Enhance the Data Governance Program by implementing the established strategy and roadmap to improve data capabilities for the data community.
- Provide mentoring and leadership for the Data Governance Steward role to enable the business support model. Provide direction to internal team members and data stakeholders.
- Identify and oversee solutions to help improve data integrity within the Data Governance program.
- Participate in strategy setting discussions with the Director, providing advice on strategic planning.
- Analyze results, reports and stakeholder feedback to identify department needs, making suggestions for future improvements and enhancements to the Data Governance program.
- Contribute solutions for change management processes for enterprise data, working with system owners and data stewards to document existing change control processes and define new processes when needed.
- Oversee the creation of the enterprise data glossary and data dictionary, working with data stewards and data custodians to standardize definitions, business rules, business usage for critical data elements, attributes, metadata, list of values and reference data.
- Drive the work of the Data Governance Council's objectives relative to analyzing issues in the governance of enterprise data, including problem definition, root cause analysis and opportunity and solution recommendations.
- Create and publish centralized communications for Data Governance projects and initiatives to all data stakeholders.
- Lead internal teams responsible for developing and delivering data management solutions and services to ensure appropriate use of data.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring and training of staff to develop and encourage their performance. Meet with staff on a timely basis for the purpose of conducting personnel evaluations and providing feedback.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
• IT Governance
- Management of IT governance operations and coordination with corporate managerial and statutory governance.
- IT portfolio, project, and program management: Management of IT project and portfolio planning (includes projects and ongoing operations & maintenance for complete IT activity portfolio); coordination of IT portfolio with annual budget planning; support for prioritization, reporting, and overall management of IT portfolio, projects, and programs. Responsible for operations of the IT demand management framework, business case management, cost/benefit analysis, and benefits realization for the IT portfolio.
- IT process management and standards: Responsible for the maintenance, training, and continuous improvement of IT processes, standards, and tools; ensuring compliance to IT legal requirements, government or industry standards. Manage IT Governance content contributing to knowledge management process applied to IT.
- IT performance management, communication and reporting: Responsible for collection, and reporting of IT performance metrics, key performance indicators (KPI), and management of activities. Responsible for performance of internal (IT division) and external (business and employee stakeholders) communication. Responsible for providing relevant reports in support data driven decision making at all levels.
• People management:
- Responsible for hiring, directing, managing, and development of IT Governance staff. Contribute to evaluation of vendors and non-employee resources performing IT Governance activities
