Design Executive, Architecture

SCOPE OF WORK, ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Team Leader with any information related to the project in order to put together a project design brief, scope & deliverables for new projects.
- Assist the Team Leader with any information related to the project in order to put together Prepare the RFPs for Design Consultants and specialist consultants.
- Assist the Team Leader in collecting information related to design consultants, and relevant information to help evaluate consultant's capabilities and ability to perform well in our project.
- Coordinate with the consultants to determine their proposed design work delivery timelines and report findings.
- Attend kick off meetings, technical coordination meetings, and weekly progress meetings with the consultants. And conduct the meetings on behalf of the director when needed
- Ensure timely and accurate design work by coordinating, monitoring, reviewing and managing design consultants work in conjunction with set design management plan and expected quality
- Prepare all reports submitted by Design Consultants including weekly Areas of Concern, and distribute documents to relevant design in timely manner
- Assist in directing the consultants to stay aligned with the overall project budget throughout the various stages of design
- Attend value engineering workshops with the consultant to achieve targeted budget through optimal designs. Be responsible for setting the design direction for the development of the projects as well as critique and review of design proposals by consultants.
- Assist with any information needed to evaluate any variation orders/change requests submitted by the Design Consultant(s)
- Assist with inputs required for presentations to BODs.
- Good team player who can collaborate with colleagues from different departments to achieve shared objectives for the projects.
- Collaborated & organized with all parties from internal to external (Investment, Sales & marketing, Project management to Consultants; Authorities; Contractors...) to achieve design & timeline.
- Assist for materials sample reviewing and approval process in coordination with other departments.
- Other responsibilities include undertaking preliminary feasibility studies to assess development potential of new projects or acquisitions and undertaking simple in-house design projects.
