* Job Purpose
As a client-side in house, the Design Manager will be responsible for monitoring the work performance of the design consultants for one or multiple projects with the aim of producing coordinated design.
She / He will ensure the design information is of the right quality and keeps pace with project timescales.
The design Manager should possess both an architectural and technical background to work centrally for the company.
*Major Accountabilities
- Oversee and manage/co-ordinate all design from early feasibility through the construction cycle to Post Construction
- Manage the design team throughout planning, design, building control and construction processes from inception through to completion
- Responsible for design assistance, reviewing and preparing the design drawing / construction details / sourcing of construction material
- Manage drawings, specifications and instruction both issued and received, including the RFI (Request for Information) from Sub-contractors and internal construction Team.
- You will also be involved in the initial due diligence process as well as setting up master plans for any new projects that the company will be undertaking in the future.
- As a technical advisor to the construction teams, guide and monitor methods of construction to be applied for each particular work packages
Yêu cầu
- Degree in Architecture & Master in Building Engineering an asset.
- A minimum of 5 years in similar position in Residential or Commercial projects
- 5 years of experience in Design & Construction Detailing
- Well experienced pre-construction professional and adept at the creative problem-solving of Design
- Autocad & 3D Rendering Software an asset
- Able to communicate efficiently with a large range of people (Design Consultants, & Subcontractors, Internal construction team) in understanding the personality differences and bridging the gap with collegial and collaborative cooperation
- Good forward planner and excellent motivator as a Leader and coordinator of several teams
- Creativity with innovative concepts on construction details and design will be essential
- Fluent English Written and Spoken.
