The Job
You will take ownership of the life cycle of over 11 different products in 6 different regions. Working closely with all teams in the business, you will help to mature processes and assist in the delivery of the technical roadmap. Vincere has a great development team, and we aim to improve our engineering capabilities and overall prepare for more enterprise projects. Your job will be to build out development processes to bring this technical team into a new era.
Your Responsibilities:
- DevOps leadership experience - Serve as key leader and expert on DevOps practices (large teams preferred)
- Implement and support Continuous Integration and Deployment pipelines.
- Schedule, implement, and automate security compliance patching and updates on development and test environments.
- Ensure constant availability of various methods to support SCM & release management including source control, continuous integration, & change management.
- Engage with cross-functional co-located teams in the design, development and implementation of enterprise-scalable features related to enabling higher developer productivity, environment monitoring and self-healing, and facilitating autonomous delivery teams.
- Support, troubleshoot and analyze code on all 3 layers of the stack related to infrastructure, middleware, and continuous delivery frameworks.
- Take responsibility for deploying code and other proactive maintenance activities to keep services up and running.
- Develop product release implementation plans.
- Implement the use of developer efficiency tools (focusing on freeing up development staff to focus on deliverables).
- Integrate code quality tools and code analysis tools into IDE's.
- Implement automation to improve coding efficiency.
- Apply SCM tools.
- Take charge of CI/CD onboarding.
- Mentor junior members in the team.
- Work collaboratively across teams to collaborate on common goals.
Your Skills and Experience
Required Qualifications
- A B.S. or an M.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years' experience with managing large teams including progress monitoring and reporting
- Excellent Communicator. Happy to spend a lot of time working with technical teams and collaborate with other business teams such as sales, customer support, and marketing
- Great at identifying and hiring collaborative, technically excellent people
- Should have hands-on and good understanding of DevOps tools and automation frameworks.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with DevOps techniques building continuous integration solutions using Gitlabs, Docker, Git, or Maven.
- Must have experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Experience with N-tier & microservice web application development along with experience in Java/Spring-based frameworks. Bonus for Rails or PHP/Laravel frameworks experience.
