Mô tả công việc
As an engineering manager you will be directly responsible for managing the daily operations of cloud-based systems of Fossil's Connected Devices Group (CDG). You will directly manage a technical team of several DevOps Engineers and demonstrate passion that elevates and inspires. You will be responsible for leading your team, including ensuring service continuity, on-time deliverables, mentoring, career development and project management.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Directly or indirectly (via delegation and/or cooperation) ensure the management of these aspects/resources but not limited to:
● Manage cloud API infrastructure on AWS, which uses Kubernetes as the container orchestration platform. This also includes managing build and deploy infrastructure, which relies on Bitbucket Pipelines and Jenkins.
● Manage and direct the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) effort by ensuring the Terraform workflow that balances team productivity and IaC coverage
● Manage Prometheus monitoring system, Uptime Robot uptime monitoring and OpsGenie incident management
● Manage server provisioning using Ansible
● Manage MongoDB replica sets and sharded clusters that serve cloud API
● Ensure cost control and access control in AWS
● Manage and advocate documenting effort in team
● Partner with other engineering teams (e.g., Cloud Backend, e-Commerce, Information Security) to identify key issues and challenges that need to be improved as well as to determine effective solutions

WHAT WE NEED:
● Understanding of containerization (Docker/ rkt/ containerd) and container orchestration (Kubernetes/ Rancher)
● Understanding of server orchestration and provisioning tools such as Ansible/ Chef/ Puppet/ SaltStack
● Understanding of IaC tools like Terraform/ AWS CloudFormation
● Understanding of CI/CD and related tools like Jenkins
● Understanding of at least one cloud provider (AWS/ Google Cloud Platform/ Microsoft Azure or any other major cloud provider) and its services
● Sysadmin skill set (e.g., Linux system tuning and troubleshooting, scripting) is a huge plus
● Understanding of serverless/ FaaS is a plus
● Experience in collaborating with engineering teams supporting highly available cloud applications and effective workflow
● The ability to think logically and understand situations or problems by organizing or synthesizing information in a systematic way.
● Accustomed to making decisions with little supervision or direction with a "can-do, make-it-happen" attitude
● Experience in agile/ scrum management is a plus
