FRAME AND TRUSS TRAINER

- MyTeam is currently seeking a skilled and driven Frame & Truss Trainer to empower our technical teams and help shape the future of timber construction design. You will be responsible for training staff on the design and fabrication of timber structures, specifically roof trusses, wall frames, and floor systems, while also guiding them on the use of industry-specific software, tools, and best practices. This position is ideal for an experienced technical professional with a passion for teaching, mentoring, and industry development.
* What You'll Do:
* Training Delivery & Development
- Design and deliver structured training programs on frame & truss design and fabrication.
- Provide onboarding for new hires and ongoing technical development for current staff.
- Tailor training to various experience levels and learning styles.
* Technical Instruction & Software Training
- Train the use of timber design and detailing software such as: Mitek, Pryda, Multinail, SmartFrame, Hyne Design, etc.
- Instruct team members in interpreting construction drawings, reading blueprints, quantity take-off, and Australian timber codes.
- Provide guidance on detailing for manufacturing and site installation.
* Coordination on Quality & Performance Management
- Review trainee outputs to ensure technical accuracy, compliance with Australian standards, and manufacturability.
- Deliver constructive feedback and action plans for continuous improvement.
- Support quality control processes through ongoing coaching.
* Training Materials & Documentation
- Develop and maintain comprehensive training resources including manuals, checklists, SOPs, videos, and digital content.
- Regularly update materials to reflect current technologies and standards.
* Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with OMT to align training outcomes with project and business goals.
- Provide regular reports on training progress, trainee performance, and improvement areas.
- Contribute to the creation of learning roadmaps, certification plans, and internal skill audits.
* Industry Engagement
- Stay current with developments in timber construction, software updates, and relevant certifications.
- Engage with external training organizations or industry associations (e.g., FTMA) to ensure training programs meet national and international standards.
