Fullstack Developer Backend Focused Partime

Key Responsibilities

• Backend System & API Development
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure backend systems .
  • Build and optimize RESTful APIs to ensure smooth and efficient communication between frontend and backend.
  • Implement core business logic for user management, content handling, and educational features tailored for children with autism.
  • Write reusable, clean, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Develop and maintain a basic internal CMS for lesson content and media management.
• Database Management & Security
  • Design, implement, and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity, optimal performance, and scalability.
  • Apply best practices in data security and privacy, especially for sensitive educational and health-related user data.
  • Conduct regular audits and optimize queries for fast data retrieval and processing.
  • Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms to safeguard user access and interactions.
• CI/CD, Deployment & Collaboration
  • Set up and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Write unit tests and participate in automated testing workflows to enhance code quality and reliability.
  • Monitor backend system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize infrastructure to ensure high availability.
  • Collaborate closely with frontend developers and the technical advisor to ensure seamless integration and effective delivery of features.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in developing backend and APIs systems.
• Expertise in building scalable backend services using [protected info], TypeScript, and [protected info], with strong skills in RESTful API design, type-safe coding, and modular architecture..
• Solid experience with designing and managing SQL and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with cloud deployment platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) or VPS solutions.
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools to automate builds, tests, and deployments.
• Experience with API integration and working with third-party services/tools.
• Good written and verbal communication to document APIs, database schemas, and deployment procedures.
• Understanding of security best practices for mobile applications and backend systems (encryption, GDPR compliance).
• Interest and understanding of child psychology and behavior are desirable.
• Passionate about creating EdTech products that positively impact users.
• Strong communication, teamwork, creativity, responsibility, and proactive attitude.

Preferences

• Experience in EdTech sector.
• Portfolio including educational projects, children-focused apps, data dashboards, or interactive user interface
