Furniture Technician / Senior Furniture Technician

 New Product Development (hospitality & residential furniture):
• Review dwg and work with vendor and engineer team to value engineer the construction for new development. Propose any change and improvement to construction design as needed.
• Review the new product development samples (white wood, finishing), color panel, hardware, etc... to ensure that samples are built accordingly to the approved design / specification.
• Communicate directly with project co-ordinator & project manager for any issue during the review.
• Issue the sample review report in within 24 hours deadline after the review.
• Support the project co-ordinator to complete all task requirements under furniture developing scope.
 Production Engineering (hospitality and residential furniture):
• Review dwg with QA team and factory to make sure all parties are clear understanding of the item.
• Review and sign off the preproduction sample (PPS) including white wood and finishing sample, hold the preproduction meeting with vendors and QC / QC supervisor to capture all the important notes and requirements. Brief the QC for inspection aspects.
• Review the sample for testing, packaging. Responsible for all production tasks such as consumer assembly instruction, carton markings, product labeling, etc...
• Conduct the in-house drop test, construction test and other in-house tests when needed.
• Review the AI and work back with factory to achieve proper assembly step and ease assembly.
• Join the inline inspection for mass production with QA team to support the QA team.
• Join the pilot run review together with QA team.
• Issue the review report for inspection and hand over to QC staffs.
• To assist and trouble shoot together with vendors in technical matters.
