Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable Furniture Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in hospitality furniture construction, with a strong ability to use AutoCAD 2D & 3D for creating and interpreting detailed furniture construction drawings. This role involves integrating furniture into building layouts, adjusting and arranging furniture on floor plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Furniture Construction & Assembly:
Utilize AutoCAD 2D & 3D to create, modify, and review technical drawings related to furniture and room layouts.
Interpret and execute detailed furniture construction drawings from line shop drawings, concept photos or project specifications.
Develop and produce assembly instructions for K/D furniture, ensuring ease of understanding and execution.
Engage in K/D & F/A furniture product engineering, ensuring that designs meet production and assembly requirements.
Conduct thorough inspections of technical drawings and constructed furniture to ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
Ensure that all technical drawings are fully checked for accuracy and completeness before final approval.
Building Construction & Layout Implementation:
Review and understand building construction drawings, ensuring alignment with floor plan layouts and furniture placement.
Collaborate with design teams to accurately place furniture within room layouts, optimizing space usage and aesthetic appeal, checking space circulation.
Read and interpret specifications from hotel and apartment projects, ensuring all furniture elements comply with project requirements.
Ability to read and interpret furniture blueprints, schematics, and floor plans.
