JOB DESCRIPTION:
Primary functions:
To profitably grow the Core Diagnostics business in Vietnam by leading people and managing the key functions and processes.
Responsibilities/ Objectives:
- Grow the affiliate. Set vision aligning employees and decision processes in order to maximize potential in the LRP period and beyond. Identify new market niches, pursue and identify licensing and co-promotion opportunities. Secure required resources and ensure the sales teams focus on appropriate priorities.
- Build and present the plan. Adjust the potential plan to maximize the growth of products/market penetration. Recommend the final sales plan in close collaboration with affiliate team. Monitor performance/refocus resources/ensure achievement of operating plan. Anticipate and respond to changing market conditions.
- Adapt local organization as needed by challenging existing structures and internal processes. Redesign the local/country organization to ensure its "capability to deliver" at lowest possible cost.
- Develop local organization by identifying and growing diverse talent in order to achieve the LRP and vision. Create a learning organization and develop a strong succession plan.
- Build relations/company image by maintaining close contact with customers, Health Care authorities, registration offices, Health Care associations, government, patient groups and the community.
- Ensure all company activities are conducted within the framework of the Abbott Code of Business Conduct and applicable laws.
Education:
Bachelor Degree with appropriate experience. Master Degree preferred.
Background and Experiences:
Division/Business Experience:
- Desirable previous assignment in HQ.
Functional Experience and Knowledge:
- Experience in three or more functions
- Knowledge and understanding of Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, Finance, R&D, Quality and Regulatory, Human Resources, Information Systems.
- Understands how the functions interact to support business growth.
Product Knowledge:
- Has a macro overview of the divisions products
- Knows the key issues concerning the products
Language: Fluent in English, both written and oral
Legal Requirements: Has a background on issues affecting the Health Care business
PC Knowledge: Can use the major office based software programs, eg word processing, presentation programs, spreadsheet, database, e-mail.
Performance: Demonstrated high level of consistent performance.
