Head Accountant

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Chief Accountant to join our growing team in Vietnam.
This role is ideal for a finance professional who is strong in accounting and financial management, has experience in hospitality, events, MICE, tourism, or service businesses, and can work effectively in an international environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and oversee the company's accounting and finance operations in compliance with Vietnamese accounting standards and applicable regulations.
Organize and supervise accounting activities, including general accounting, AP/AR, cash flow, taxation, payroll-related accounting, and financial reporting.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
Monitor revenue, costs, expenses, cash flow and project profitability.
Manage accounts receivable/payable and follow up on outstanding balances.
Ensure accurate and timely tax declarations, financial statements and statutory reports.
Work closely with management and relevant departments to provide financial analysis and recommendations for business decisions.
Control budgets, project costs and financial risks, particularly for hotel, event, MICE and project-based activities.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax authorities, banks and other relevant parties when required.
Establish and improve accounting procedures, internal controls and financial management processes.
Support management in financial planning, budgeting and business performance analysis.
Travel to Ho Chi Minh City and other locations for business/project requirements when necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with experience in a Chief Accountant / Accounting Manager role preferred.
Experience in hospitality, hotels, events, MICE, tourism, F&B, or project-based businesses is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of Vietnamese accounting, taxation and financial regulations.
Good analytical, problem-solving and financial management skills.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
High level of integrity, accuracy, responsibility and attention to detail.
Chinese or English communication skills required; proficiency in both is a strong advantage.
Willingness to travel for business when required.
