Working with Prudential as Head of Data Analytics and Insight means becoming a part of a prestigious global financial services group and an exciting vision: to be the leader in helping customers achieve their long-term financial goals. You will be the champion to establish and direct an organisation-wide data analytics and insights capability which is relevant, connected, forward looking and outside-in.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up organisation wide data analytics and insight capability for Prudential Vietnam
• Work with different functions across the organisation to establish a centralised governance model for analytics and consistent data / technology infrastructure underpinning that across the organisation, to drive smarter decisions in-line with the overall organisational/transformation programme strategy
• Develop and drive the strategy to build best in class analytics capability for the organisation with a clear roadmap of how it will evolve and mature over time
• Lead a team of analysts and data scientists, providing guidance and best practice in terms of methodology and data analysis techniques
• Lead and drive entire analytics portfolio working across functions clearly understanding the function specific goals and how they align to the strategic objectives of the organization
• Own and maintain all analytics assets and processes with an eye to simplify and automate wherever possible
• Establish framework to reuse analytics assets across business functions to help improve maturity and learning where appropriate
• Build the capability to create insights from analytics into stories that resonate with the senior leaders and exec teams & drive positive outcomes for the business as a whole
• Oversee/Manage cost/benefit and delivery success of the entire analytics portfolio
• Create and oversee the maintenance of a map of emerging technologies, methodologies and business opportunities from an evolution perspective
• Lead and develop a network within Prudential and with external organisations, start-ups, scale-ups, and corporate innovation accelerators to bring in outside perspectives and best practices
• Work with Prudential's global Centre of Excellence for Artificial Intelligence (AI CoE) to align on best practices, current skills and capabilities and resourcing
Yêu cầu
The role holder will have:
• Expert level knowledge of data analytics and insight capability and ability to disseminate this cross-enterprise
• Significant experience as an analytics leader with outstanding track records in building and leading analytics teams and projects
• Strong background in at least one specific machine learning area with a solid mathematical background
• Excellent skills in at least one procedural language (for instance, but not limited to Python or similar)
• Experience line managing and mentoring a team of analysts
• Good blend of technical expertise and business contextualisation/understanding
• Real-life experience with Hadoop ecosystem tools, especially Spark, is a plus
• Experience with large-scale model deployment in production is a plus
• Experience in the insurance industry will be a plus
What we are not looking for in this role:
• Experience in stand-alone packages such as SAS, SPSS, Cognos, Matlab.
• BI, business analysis, data engineering, ETL, analytics or visualisation experts without actual machine learning experience.
• Data Scientists solely focused on insight generation.
• Programmers without a data track record. Data people without a programming track record.
