About the Job
Deal Advisory is a fast-growing area of our Advisory business. The service group is composed of Due Diligence, Restructuring, Valuation, Strategy and M&A Advisory. We support our clients -whether they are on the buy side or sell side-with services that cover the full life cycle of a transaction. These include helping to identify targets or buyers, assistance in raising finance, performing due diligences and valuations on acquisition targets, help in the disposal of non-core entities and providing support in the post-acquisition/disposal phases.
Corporate Finance provides objective unbiased advice on a range of financial transactions undertaken by corporations, financial institutions, and governments worldwide. In addition to transaction advice, Corporate Finance helps clients in the valuation of financial and strategic investments for compliance purposes (fair value calculations according to IFRS, purchase price allocations, impairment tests etc).
In order to enhance our client service capacity in the valuation of companies, financial instruments (like debt instruments and financial derivatives) as well as tangible and intangible assets, we intend to strengthen our Corporate Finance team by a highly quantitatively skilled Senior Consultant / Assistant Manager. We offer exposure to diverse, exciting and challenging projects in a supportive team environment and excellent learning opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Participate in fair value calculations for financial investments (equity, financial instruments, tangible and intangible assets): analyzing terms and conditions of the instruments and key assumptions of the issuer's financial projections, research for relevant market parameters, preparation of valuation model.
Assist our audit teams by reviewing third-party valuations of financial investments and tangible/intangible assets.
Draft valuation reports and internal memos summarizing our results / findings.
Assist Partners and Senior Managers in the creation of proposals, business development, and practice administration.
Serve as a liaison between clients and firm leadership.
Identify and communicate technical matters to both clients and firm leadership.
Serve as mentor to Consultants and newly hired staff as we further develop our team.
Requirements:
University graduate in mathematics, natural sciences or economics with a quantitative specialization
Minimum of 3 to 4 years' experience for Senior position and 5 years' experience minimum for Assistant Manager position.
Basic understanding of financial markets
Strong willingness and ability to further develop your technical knowledge and learn from others
Effective report writing skills
Excellent written and verbal communications
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork experience
Proficient MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project skills
Ability/willingness to travel
Demonstrated "can do" attitude
