Rodd & Gunn is looking for an experienced HR & Payroll Office (Global) to join our international HR team in our Ho Chi Minh City office.
This is a varied role combining hands-on international payroll responsibility for one or more allocated markets with broader HR operations support across our global business.
We are looking for someone who understands payroll fundamentals and has practical, hands-on payroll experience in at least one of the following markets: Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, United States or Canada. Experience with multi-jurisdiction payroll would be highly regarded.
Reporting to our Global HR Payroll Manager and working closely with our regional HR teams, you'll have ownership of the day-to-day payroll administration for one or more markets, while supporting HR operations across Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Vietnam, Singapore and Hong Kong.
What you'll be doing
• Coordinate the payroll process for your allocated markets, ensuring accurate and timely payroll inputs.
• Manage payroll changes including new starters, terminations, salary and hours changes, leave, bonuses and other adjustments.
• Review timesheets and Time & Attendance data and resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Review payroll outputs and assist with payroll checking and reconciliations.
• Respond to employee payroll queries and work closely with managers, HR and external payroll providers.
• Maintain accurate employee data across Payroll, HRIS and Time & Attendance systems.
• Support global HR administration including contracts, onboarding, employee changes and offboarding.
• Contribute to payroll, HR systems and process improvement projects across our international business.
For your allocated payroll market/s, responsibilities will include:
Coordinate and prepare payroll inputs in accordance with the relevant payroll calendar and cut-off dates.
Maintain accurate payroll records and employee information.
Process and coordinate new starters, terminations and employee changes affecting payroll.
Review timesheets, Time & Attendance records, leave and other payroll inputs prior to processing.
Follow up managers and employees regarding missing or incomplete payroll information.
Prepare bonus, incentive and other variable payment information for payroll.
Review payroll reports and outputs to identify discrepancies or unusual movements.
Assist with payroll reconciliations and checking processes.
Investigate payroll discrepancies and coordinate corrections with the Payroll Manager and/or external payroll provider.
Respond to employee payroll queries accurately and within agreed timeframes.
Maintain appropriate payroll records and supporting documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
Develop a working understanding of the payroll requirements applicable to your allocated jurisdiction.
Work with the Payroll Manager and Global HR Operations Manager to maintain effective payroll controls and processes.
Provide back-up payroll administration support for other markets where required and appropriate.
GLOBAL HR OPERATIONS
Alongside your allocated payroll responsibilities, you will provide broader HR operational support across our international business, including:
Preparation of employment contracts, agreements, amendments and variations across multiple countries and entities.
New starter onboarding across HRIS, Payroll, Time & Attendance, RMS and other relevant systems.
Employee offboarding and system administration.
Maintaining accurate employee and user records across HR systems.
Supporting employee and manager system access and queries.
Managing designated HR and payroll support inboxes within agreed service levels.
Maintaining employee files, organisation charts and other HR records.
Assisting with recruitment and onboarding in Vietnam and other regions as required.
Supporting the implementation and administration of HR policies, handbooks and procedures.
Assisting with global HR, payroll and systems projects.
Supporting data integrity and regular reconciliation between HRIS, Time & Attendance and payroll systems.

• 3+ years' payroll, payroll administration or combined HR/payroll experience.
• Hands-on PAYROLL EXPERIENCE in - at least one - of our international markets is required: Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, United States or Canada.
• Experience working through a regular payroll cycle, including timesheets, employee changes, leave, starters, terminations and payroll checking.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with Payroll, HRIS and Time & Attendance systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and confidence working with payroll data.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• A proactive, organised approach and the ability to take ownership of deadlines.
• Experience in an international, multi-site, retail or hospitality environment would be an advantage.
