Infrastructure, Cloud Platform Operations Manager

JOB PURPOSE:

This position is responsible for leading the design, implementation, administration, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the Company's infrastructure platforms, including servers, storage, Active Directory, messaging systems, virtualization, cloud services, and related technologies.

This role ensuresthe availability, security,performance, resilience, and scalability of the Company's technology infrastructure while supporting business growth, digital transformation initiatives, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. The position also providesleadership to the System Administration team, driving innovation, operational efficiency, and service quality.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage, virtualization platforms, Active Directory, messaging systems, cloud services, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
2. Manage, mentor, and develop the System Administration team by assigning priorities, monitoring performance, building technical capabilities, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
3. Oversee the administration, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of infrastructure platforms to ensure system availability, reliability, and performance across all company locations.
4. Ensure compliance with IT governance standards, cybersecurity policies, technology procedures, Enterprise Architectures and regulatory requirements to protect critical infrastructure and information assets.
5. Manage backup, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity (BCP) capabilities to ensure operational resilience and periodic recovery readiness.
6. Lead problem management activities, including root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of infrastructure, system, and platform-related incidents.
7. Drive infrastructure modernization initiatives by evaluating emerging technologies and recommending solutions that improve efficiency, security, scalability, and user experience.
8. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and project teams to deliver infrastructure services and support strategic technology initiatives.
9. Manage infrastructure budgets, asset lifecycle planning, vendor relationships, maintenance contracts, and technology procurement activities.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure operations, system administration, or technology platform management.
• Minimum 2 years of people management or team leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in enterprise environments with high availability, security, and compliance requirements.
• Experience in financial services, insurance, or highly regulated industries is an advantage.

Preferred Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate; Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Red Hat Certified Engineer(RHCE).
• VMware CertifiedProfessional (VCP).
• ITIL Foundation Certification.
• CISSP, CISM, or equivalent security certification (preferred).

• Infrastructure & Operating Systems: MS Windows Server; Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, OpenShift, CentOS, Ubuntu); Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP; Identity and Access Management (IAM).
• Virtualization & Cloud: VMwarevSphere / Hyper-V;Microsoft Azure; MS 365 Administration; Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure.
• Storage & Backup: Enterprise Storage Platforms; Backup and Recovery Solutions; Disaster Recovery Technologies.
• Messaging& Collaboration: MS Exchange Online;MS 365 Platform; Teams Administration
• Database & Middleware: MS SQL Server; MySQL; IBM DB2 (preferred); IBM ACE; IBM Data Power.
• Security: Infrastructure Security Management; Vulnerability Management; Privileged Access Management; Endpoint and Server Hardening; Security Monitoring and Compliance.
• Monitoring & Automation: Infrastructure Monitoring Solutions; PowerShell Scripting; Infrastructure Automation; Configuration Management Tools.
• Service Management: Incident,Problem, and Change Management; ITIL-based Operational Practices; Vendor and SLA Management
