Interface Manager

The Interface Manager is responsible for identifying, coordinating, monitoring and resolving all interfaces between project stakeholders, contracts, systems, civil works, MEP, railway systems and operational requirements. The role ensures interfaces are clearly identified, allocated, documented and effectively managed throughout design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
Establish and maintain the project-wide Interface Management Plan and procedures.
Identify and map technical, functional, contractual and organisational interfaces between project packages and stakeholders.
Establish and maintain the Interface Register and ensure that interfaces are assigned to responsible parties.
Coordinate interface definition and resolution between civil works, stations, depot, trackwork, railway systems, MEP, rolling stock, signalling, telecommunications, power supply and operations.
Lead regular interface coordination meetings with relevant disciplines, contractors, designers and stakeholders.
Monitor interface issues, actions, decisions and deliverables, ensuring timely closure.
Identify interface risks and escalate critical issues to the Deputy Project Director and Integration Manager.
Ensure interface requirements are reflected in technical specifications, design and contractual documents.
Coordinate interfaces between contractors and packages where responsibilities or scopes overlap.
Support multidisciplinary design reviews and identify inconsistencies, gaps or conflicts.
Ensure interface agreements and decisions are properly documented and traceable.
Coordinate interface requirements during construction, testing and commissioning.
Support resolution of technical and contractual interface disputes.
Maintain interface KPIs and provide regular reporting to project management.
Capture and transfer interface lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in railway engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering or related discipline.
Typically 5-10 years of experience in major railway or metro projects.
Proven interface management experience on complex multidisciplinary infrastructure or railway projects.
Good understanding of railway systems and interfaces with civil works and MEP.
Experience in multi-contract and multi-stakeholder environments.
Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work across technical disciplines and contractual boundaries.
Experience with interface management tools, registers and project management systems.
Good command of English, Fluent in Vietnamese.
