About the Opportunity
On behalf of our client, we are hiring an Investment Manager to support their Corporate Development team. Our client is a leading game publisher in Vietnam, focusing on investing in and co-founding early-stage game studios.
Joining the team as an Investment Manager, you will play a crucial role in turning industry connections into active investment and partnership pipelines. You will focus on hunting top talents and potential indie studios, while the VP of Corporate Development will support you with the final deal negotiations and financial decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Networking: Build and maintain strong relationships with key gaming personnel (Game Directors, Lead Designers, Lead Developers, Producers, Studio Heads) across outsourcing, co-development, and indie studios.
Pipeline Building: Identify and approach potential game studios (especially casual, hybrid-casual, and mid-core) to propose suitable partnership models (e.g., co-founding a studio, investing, or joining an internal studio).
Opportunity Evaluation: Support the due diligence process by doing reference checks on founders, verifying IP/legal status, and reviewing game metrics with the internal team.
Market Research: Keep track of market trends, fundraising activities, and new product launches to spot early investment opportunities.
Co-investor Relations: Develop a network of co-investors (regional funds, publishers in Korea/China/SEA, angel investors) and share deal flows with them regularly.
Job Requirements
Technical skills:
At least 5 years of experience in the gaming industry (production, publishing, business development, studio operations) or in finance/investment with strong exposure to the game sector.
A strong, proven network within the game production industry in Vietnam, with a clear understanding of key players and their capabilities.
Good analytical writing skills to prepare clear, data-driven investment proposals and reports.
English proficiency at a communicative level to work with partners in Korea, China, and Southeast Asia.
Nice-to-have: Experience working at game studios (outsourcing/co-dev), large publishers, or previous experience in game M&A/investment.
Soft skills:
Highly proactive and self-driven; able to generate opportunities independently from scratch.
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and networking skills.
Strong business sense and evaluation skills to assess team capabilities and product potential.
Willingness to travel frequently for business trips and industry events.
Benefits
Competitive salary based on capability, plus project-based bonuses and year-end performance bonuses.
Clear career progression with the opportunity to lead deals independently and build your own team in the future.
Budget allowance provided for business travel, networking, and attending industry events.
Comprehensive healthcare, including premium health insurance (for Lead level and above) and annual health check-ups.
Lunch allowance, free parking, and social insurance as per Labor Law.
Dynamic working environment with regular team building, Year-End Party, Summer Trip, and internal sports clubs (Yoga, football, badminton).
