IT Business Analyst IT BA Specialist

We are looking for an IT Business Analyst (IT BA) with a technology background and expertise focusing on way4 and API integration. The candidate will act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, be responsible for translating business needs into technical solutions, ensuring the successful delivery of IT change requests in a timely manner. The ideal candidate should also have experience in Change Requests (CRs) life cycle management across various systems, including mobile, frontend, backend, and core systems.

Main Responsibilities

1. Business Requirement Analysis

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements for mobile, frontend, backend, and core systems.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring they align with system capabilities, including APIs, cloud infrastructure, microservice architecture standards, databases, and WAY4.
• Conduct impact analysis for new change requests or enhancements, considering the effects on various IT layers and systems.

2. Solution Design

• Work with technical teams to define integration points between different systems and technologies; develop clear and concise functional specifications for APIs, microservices, database structures, and WAY4 to meet business needs.

3. Change Request (CR) Execution and Management

• Manage the lifecycle of CRs across mobile, frontend, backend, and core systems.
• Coordinate with business and technical teams to prioritize and deliver CRs based on business value and technical feasibility.
• Track CR status and progress daily, ensuring all stakeholders are frequently informed of changes and expected outcomes.
• Assist in testing plan and execution, ensuring all CRs are thoroughly tested across all impacted systems, regression testing suggestion.
• Evaluate system performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements, particularly for APIs, microservices, databases, and WAY4.

4. Documentation

• Document functional and technical specifications, user stories, and use cases for all CRs and new system integrations.
• Provide regular updates on project and CR progress, including timelines, challenges, and resource requirements.

5. Application Operation

• Monitor application health, logs, and alerts to proactively identify and address potential issues for web and core applications in production environments.
• Implement and enforce operational best practices, including incident response and root cause analysis.

Qualification Requirements

Technical Skills

• Experience with designing, integrating, and managing APIs across systems.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, SQL, and database design practices.
• 2+ years' experience with the WAY4 platform.
• Experience with integration techniques and protocols such as REST, SOAP, and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, ActiveMQ).

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work across teams.
• Ability to manage multiple change requests simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience

• Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 3+ years in a business analyst, system analyst, or similar role.
• Proven experience working with APIs, microservices, databases, and WAY4.
• Experience with CR management across frontend, backend, and core systems, particularly in an enterprise environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Fintech or Banking sector.
• Experienced with way4.
• Certifications in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA)
