Background and Job Purpose
Colgate-Palmolive is engaged in a profound digital transformation from a strategic, organisational, knowledge/experimentation and talent aspect, which impacts all our current and future marketing and business activities. To help fuel this transformation, we are looking for a Digital Performance Marketing Analyst to join our Northern Europe (NE) Hub (Hub includes UK/IRE, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark), reporting to Europe
Digital Marketing Director.
The purpose of this role is to drive key digital performance metrics to improve ROI of our digital activity and help support business objectives around engagement, acquisition, conversion and retention. This successful person will be responsible for tracking, reporting, and analysing the performance of digital marketing activities, ad-hoc analytics requests, and the development and automation of regular reports.
This role will develop data-led insights and recommendations relating to digital marketing activities along the consumer journey (attention, consideration, purchase and loyalty) to inform key decisions and improve performance relating to product and digital marketing activities across channels. You will have a wide range of tools and dashboards at your disposal.
This person will collaborate with all key stakeholders (local Hub Marketing, IMC/Media Manager and Digital Manager as well as central IBE/IMC and OAC-Online Acceleration Center digital teams) to drive Brand and business growth. This person will influence the organisation at all levels to build a performance mindset and culture within the NE Hub as well as provide input to help shape the engagement, acquisition, conversion and retention strategies of the future.
Key Focus Areas
Use existing tools, dashboards to help
- Drive higher quality website traffic, time on site and engagement
- Increase engagement on social media
- Drive overall cost efficiency (eg CPM) and performance (eg VTR, CTR) of digital media efforts
- Drive eCommerce conversion across channels (website "buy now", social, Amazon media)
- Identify search trends for SEM and SEO content opportunities
- Feed our owned media data (eg website, social) into paid media briefs
- Ad hoc online data analysis requests
Main Responsibilities
- Track and analyse the performance of ongoing digital marketing activities
- Translate date into clear actionable data-driven insights across digital channels to address key strategic questions and deliver against our online KPIs
- Leverage key platforms and tools (eg Google Marketing Platform, specifically GA360, Sprinklr, ChannelSight, SimilarWeb) and dashboards (Adverity, Data Studio).
- Help translate Marketing objective and strategies into KPIs and performance goals
- Identify areas for efficiency improvement and cost saving through an analytical approach across owned, earned and paid media.
- Build and execute attribution modelling to deliver insights to better meet results
- Lead and execute A/B testing and customer experience testing (eg on website) throughout the customer journey (eg looking at ad creative, ad placement, audiences, landing page experience, conversion tactics, post-conversion loyalty)
- Weekly reporting to fuel learnings and optimizations as well as educate the organisation
- Seek out innovation in the digital marketing space and identify new opportunities for the business to drive performance KPIs
Experience and Personal Attributes
- Outstanding data and analytical skills
- Experience working as a digital analyst, performance media / marketing or acquisition specialist from client or agency side
- Utilise innovative approaches to quality traffic generation, conversion, acquisition or optimisation
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
- Capable of inspiring, winning confidence and raising consensus at all levels: peers, executives, team members
- Works collaboratively, creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment, while focusing on action and results
