Position Purpose:
Plan and execute a solid sourcing strategy for the Marketing and Sales spend in the Americas (North America, Latin America and Hill's North America) to maximize benefits in terms of innovation, quality, cost and service levels. The Commercial Services Procurement Manager applies strategic sourcing methodology to meet the key stakeholders requests and contributes to the business growth by maximizing value, generating important financial contributions and avoid unnecessary costs.
Position Scope:
The Commercial Services Procurement Manager is responsible for managing a multi-country team and is responsible for the overall execution of the business and Global Procurement priorities and strategies for the Commercial spend segments that include but are not limited to Marketing, Customer Development, In Store Promotion, Consumer Insights & Analytics and Brand Innovation. Manages a Cross-Country Procurement team. The Global Procurement Organization, including all Spend Categories, is an area and reports to the Global Supply Chain Function.
Responsibilities:
Lead the team efforts towards one single goal
Ensure category strategy definition and implementation
Ensure procurement process diligence, in compliance with global procurement, finance policy and government regulations: Spend analytics, Sourcing, contracting, buying, invoicing and continuous improvement.
Activate a dynamic supplier network to address foundational footprint:
Establish solid strategies to expand the supplier diversity program initiatives
Reinforce foundational supply assurance by reviewing business continuity plans with key suppliers.
Create and action KPIs to ensure service excellence from suppliers.
Establish a Supplier segmentation strategy including a supplier management program for key external partners
Create supply alternatives and implement changes; pursue strategic supplier development and relationships, including outsourcing strategies.
Strengthen relationships and integrate early to expedite decisions
Create internal and external partnerships for long term sustainable sourcing. Define priority materials and suppliers.
Build relationships with key internal and external thought leaders and associations in innovative areas to learn and apply new thinking.
Enhance internal stakeholder engagement across all functional areas and divisions
Increase delivered value via key Supplier Relationship Management programs
Gaining comprehensive industry knowledge of best practices, processes, and market and technology trends to proactively adjust sourcing strategy.
Deliver cost and expense goals:
Maximize the benefits from eProcurement and digital Tools
Keep high visibility by presenting progress to Subsidiary and Division Leadership
Manage and develop talen, by elevating marketing procurement, stakeholder and business engagement and supplier value creation and relationship management skills on the team. Champion procurement next generation competencies and model colgate leadership principles
Education & Experience:
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, International Business, Commercial Relations or equivalent
+15 year experience in Media or Marketing Procurement, Marketing or Media as Commercial Discipline.
Proven experience in an Advertising Agency or agency management
Google Collaboration Tools, Procurement Electronic Tools, Excel/Google Sheets, Ariba, SAP
Preferred
- Fluent Spanish
- Master's Degree
