Laboratory Supervisor

Role Purpose
To support bulk production through the effective management and coordination of all operations and processes (ie sample preparation, Simplex operations , productivity , OH Dyelab/Dyelot).
To monitor performance against Laboratory KPI's and implement action leading to performance improvement
To ensure all laboratory operators are full trained (and cross trained) to meet the requirements of their roles and can perform their tasks in accordance with all relevant SOPs and safety requirements.
To ensure 100% compliance to Coats business ethic standard and labour law
Manage all resources to be used efficiently basing on designed process/agreed procedures as well as co-operate with related section to solve issues and improved consistently.
Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities
Develop and maintain all CSSU SOPs and ensure all laboratory operations fully comply with SOPs
Streamline CSSU operations by constantly monitoring work practices, work flows and processes and take remedial action to streamline operations as necessary
Continually drive productivity and efficiency improvement in all facets of CSSU operations (as closely monitor production status and ensure GT, D&C are ready for next batch, Ensure efficient running of TD Lab, Auto Lab systems, measured key performance indicators such as LpMpD,lab to bulk reproducibility, OH Dyelab/Dyelot) through careful review and analysis of these performance indicators
Ensure CSSU staff achieve and maintain a high level of technical capability through the provision of ongoing training, technical support and performance assessment and feedback
Co-ordinate and deliver all cross training within the team to provide greater flexibility in the allocation of resources and to deliver productivity improvements
Ensure the machine programs agree with production and are in line with global profiles
Manage manpower, maintain discipline and build up teamwork.
