Material Planner

1) Scheduling the supply of materials/components to meet customer demand and production requirements.
2) Planning, developing, implementing and evaluating processes for material delivery from supplier to point of fit
3) Assessing volume requirements against planning assumptions
4) Managing orders and deliveries to ensure on-time delivery to commitment.
5) Working jointly with production planning to publish customer SO delivery committed dates and updating them in a timely fashion when required.
6) Understanding and managing risks to minimize impact on production schedule.
7) Following up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production
8) Implementing relevant processes to agreed standards and targets and support continuous improvement initiatives and identify areas of improvement
9) Utilizing established Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) or approved IT system that is in place to ensure that data is accurate and up to date including resolving any issues as required
10) Monitoring the integrity and accuracy of Bill of Materials (BOM) and managing inventory accuracy
11) Monitoring inventory levels against agreed target levels
12) Supporting inventory checks to validate inventory accuracy and acting quickly to correct errors if warranted.
13) Minimizing obsolete stock.
14) Creating reports, analyzing and updating data if required to support the needs of the business.
