Supervisor Job Title: Plant Manager
JOB PURPOSE
• Is responsible for the leadership of Supply Chain operational function such as Material Planning, Production Planning, logistics or transport, and are responsible for shaping the direction and development of the function managed.
• Is responsible for the management of resources on an annual basis, but also have a one to two year planning horizon, and are expected to input at a strategic level. He/she is responsible for a large team of people, and must provide effective leadership whilst championing Bonfiglioli values.
General objectives and activities
• Operative Aspect:
Ensure the KPIs of the Supply Chain are reached, including:
o Cost saving, supplier on-time delivery, payment term
o Customer on time delivery
o Order Leadtime Reliability
o Stock rotation & stock reduction
• HR Aspect:
o Coach, train and develop Staffs
o Facilitate Staffs retention program of the Company
• Structural Aspect:
o Be a reference of Sales Administration
o Be a reference of Plant Planning
o Be a reference of Plant Material Planning
o Be a reference of Plant Logistics
Customer Services & Logistics
• Inbound and outbound logistics: arrange the container schedule IN and OUT
• Customs clearance IN and OUT
• Import tax control & refund
• Picking and packing procedure
• Sales administration: managing Sales Orders & shipping
• Customer Services: managing Customers' claims and coordinate with relevant Departments to solve.
• Improving Customer satisfaction by higher Leadtime Reliability and shorter leadtime
• Cost out gained from better process
Warehouse
• Material handling (incoming and internal movements)
• Production feeding
• Inventory record accuracy
• Reduce stock while maintaining on-time delivery level
• Raw materials and Finished Goods keeping
• Finished Goods final packing, marking and preparing shipping documents.
Production Planning
• Long Term Planning: capacity analysis and planning of the factory to facilitate investment decisions, production footprint and new product development projects
• Medium Term Planning: MRP inputs: Sales forecasts, material forecasts to decide safety stock, forecasts to suppliers or buy materials in advance to ensure the supply in situation of shorter Customers' Leadtime than Suppliers' Leadtime, peaks and falls of sales, and to stabilize Production volume for leverage of manufacturing manpower with higher efficiency.
• Short Term Planning: Lead monthly/ weekly MPS (Master Production Scheduling). Arrange all activities throughout the Supply Chain from input to output according to the situation (materials, machines & manpower).
Material Planning
• Develop policies, procedures and objectives for the procurement of goods & services
• Develop material supply plans that enable efficient implementation of company's supply policies and objectives.
• Investigate & correct supply problems to minimize the impact on production & review economies of all purchases in order to reduce cost and improve quality, delivery time
• Negotiate with key suppliers.
