We are seeking a results-driven Mechanical Engineering Supervisor to lead our team of 8 Drafting and Mechanical Engineers. This role is the technical heartbeat of our Vietnam operations. You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they meet the rigorous international standards our global clients expect.
Key Leadership & Technical Pillars: Uphold the quality benchmarks of an Australian-run operation, ensuring all engineering outputs meet global marine specifications.
Lead the department's digital transformation. We aren't just fabricators; we are innovators driving AI-integrated workflows and SolidWorks optimization to stay ahead of the market.
Act as the primary technical liaison between our international clients and our local Factory Team Leaders, ensuring 3D designs are perfectly translated into sectional drawings for production.
Manage, mentor and grow a team of 8 engineers, identifying skill gaps and fostering a culture of "Right First Time" engineering. Identify skill gaps and implement training programs to keep the team at the forefront of engineering technology. Fostering a culture of technical excellence.
Project & Process Optimization: Monitor project lifecycles from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to specifications, budgets, and timelines.
Collaborate with the Production department to design and implement processes that maximize throughput while minimizing waste.
Lead New Product Development (NPD) initiatives and manage technological upgrades to existing systems.
Investigate complex technical issues, recommend data-driven solutions, and provide comprehensive reporting to senior management.
Communication & Compliance: Act as a key point of contact between engineering, other internal departments and external clients.
Oversee the creation of technical manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and project documentation.
Execute additional strategic tasks as requested by the Managing Director in alignment with Company policy.
Yêu cầu
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
Experience: Minimum of 10+ years in an engineering role, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
Software Proficiency: Expert-level command of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Pro/Engineer.
Systems Knowledge: Advanced understanding of production machinery, industrial standards and core engineering principles.
Tools: High proficiency in MS Office Suite for reporting and project tracking.
Languages: Full professional fluency in English (written and verbal).
Leadership: Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage complex projects under pressure.
Cognitive Skills: Exceptional critical thinking, analytical problem-solving, and attention to detail.
Organization: Strong multi-tasking abilities with a disciplined approach to documentation and planning.
