JOB SUMMARY
The primary function of this job is the maintenance of Molds, Dies and tools used in various production lines. Mold engineer will be responsible for the mold maintenance, setup, change over and mold spare parts procurement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Independently performs repairs, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on injection molding tools/process/machines
Planning and undertaking of periodical maintenance of molds, Dies and tools
Perform mold/equipment setups, change-overs and initial production/quality check.
Performs documentation and regulatory record keeping responsibilities.
Spare parts purchase and management.
Coordinate maintenance work with outside mold makers, contractors, and vendors.
Develops tools and jigs as required.
Provides work direction and training for less experienced technicians.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May be required to work on other shifts and/or willing to be "on call" as needed or schedules.
May lead special projects and assist supervisor with audits and/or recordkeeping.
May function as a lead for a group of technicians including scheduling, work direction, resource information, and/or training.
Must be able to use lifting equipment such as bridge cranes, jib cranes to lift molds and equipment more than 500 pounds.
Assists with spare parts inventory including purchasing spare parts, equipment and/or services, ordering parts, and tracking material and parts usage.
Other related tasks as needed

Education
Bachelor's Degrees in Mechanical (specialized in tool and die technology)
Experience
Minimum 5 years experience in mold maintenance and setup
Skills
Experience with injection molding tooling, equipment and process
Hands on experience with Mold set up and maintenance
Good working experience with Dies, tools and jigs
Knowledge of mold design and construction.
Ability to train less experienced technical staff.
Ability to recognize systemic problems and develop solutions.
Demonstrated analytical nature and excellent problem diagnostic skills.
Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
Good English skills
