JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Lesson & Question Design:
Write context-rich hook passages that anchor each lesson's opening question.
Design scaffolded hint sequences that guide students toward understanding without giving away the answer.
Review and refine questions for clarity, difficulty calibration, and alignment with College Board SAT domains.
2. Curriculum Structure:
Map lessons to learning objectives and ensure coverage across difficulty tiers (Easy → Medium → Hard).
QA existing curriculum content for pedagogical consistency across the Socratic Hook-Explore-Confirm model
Flag gaps or redundancies in the lesson sequence.
Accessibility & Language Support:
Review content for clarity and accessibility for non-native English speakers.
Support adaptation of lessons for multilingual delivery
3. Project Tracks:
Depending on interest and product needs, Fellows may focus on one of the following areas - feel free to indicate your preference in your application:
Item writing: authoring new SAT-style questions and hook passages.
Curriculum mapping: structuring lesson sequences and difficulty progression.
Accessibility & localization: adapting content for English-language learners and other languages.
REQUIREMENTS
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Education, Linguistics, TESOL, Psychology, or a related field
Strong written English and attention to detail
Interest in instructional design, learning science, or how people acquire academic skills.
Comfortable giving and receiving feedback on content drafts
Motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage your own time in a remote, async environment
Genuine interest in expanding access to education and test prep
No prior SAT tutoring experience required, though it's a plus.
