Position Overview
We are looking for a driven and capable Operations Manager (Packaging & Label) to lead and optimize all aspects of packaging operations, including Creative Design, Print Engineering, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain Coordination, Process Optimization, Vendor Support, and EHS Compliance. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring product excellence, operational efficiency, and cross-functional alignment in a fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG environment.
You will manage a diverse team of up to 80 personnel, driving collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across all packaging and labeling workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Operations Leadership
Partner with executive leadership to formulate long-term operational strategies that support business objectives, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
Translate company goals into actionable operational initiatives, ensuring departmental alignment and performance across key functions.
Financial Oversight & Budget Control
Construct and oversee the operational budget, ensuring resource allocation aligns with production needs and strategic priorities.
Proactively identify opportunities to reduce costs, streamline workflows, and maximize return on investment without compromising quality or compliance.
Data-Driven Performance Monitoring
Deliver comprehensive reporting on operational KPIs, identifying efficiency gaps, quality issues, or risk areas.
Leverage data analytics to anticipate challenges, optimize throughput, and drive informed decision-making at the leadership level.
Packaging Development & Technical Supervision
Oversee the end-to-end packaging and labeling lifecycle, from concept development and prototyping to print execution and rollout.
Ensure technical specifications, print accuracy, and aesthetic integrity meet brand and regulatory standards.
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
Lead process enhancement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies to elevate productivity, minimize waste, and improve consistency.
Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action planning in response to quality or operational incidents.
Supply Chain & Vendor Collaboration
Align closely with procurement and logistics teams to ensure raw material availability, optimal inventory levels, and timely supplier performance.
Evaluate and manage external vendors and packaging partners, ensuring compliance with technical, cost, and delivery expectations.
Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Compliance
Champion a culture of safety, sustainability, and compliance, ensuring adherence to environmental and workplace health standards.
Implement EHS protocols, oversee risk assessments, and drive continuous training across the packaging team
