ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are now seeking a Pattern Maker with Technical Designer experience to uphold our standards for excellence and drive customer satisfaction through your technical expertise, attention to detail, and leadership abilities. You will report directly to the Manager of Supply Chain Management and work closely with our fulfillment team and partnership factories.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Pattern Creation:
• Create accurate 2D patterns from design sketches, tech packs, or draping - ensuring correct fit, proportion, balance, and construction logic.
• Develop base blocks, slopers, and size sets for key product categories: bras, panties
• Convert design intent into production-ready patterns while maintaining manufacturability.
Pattern Development & Improvement
• Modify and refine patterns through multiple rounds of sampling (proto → SMS → PP).
• Ensure patterns translate correctly across different fabrications, trims, and construction methods.
• Maintain and continuously update the brand's pattern library.
Fit Validation:
• Lead fit sessions for proto, size set, and PPS samples to ensure garments meet brand fit standards across sizes.
• Evaluate vendor-submitted patterns and samples, identify issues, and provide clear correction directions to ensure optimal fit and comfort.
• Maintain the brand's fit blocks, measurement standards, and pattern libraries.
Construction & Technical Guidance:
• Define construction methods, seam allowances, and finishing requirements directly into patterns.
• Provide technical recommendations on fabric behavior, ease requirements, and shaping techniques.
• Partner with sourcing and production to ensure patterns suit factory capabilities.
Grading & Size Expansion:
• Prepare or validate grading rules for base sizes and extended sizes (including plus-size ranges up to 58G size).
• Ensure grading maintains proper proportions and comfort for all customer profiles.
• Review vendor-graded patterns for accuracy and make necessary adjustments.
Quality Assurance & Standardization
• Conduct detailed pattern and sample quality checks before production approval.
• Ensure patterns meet US/EU fit and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot issues arising during sampling or pre-production.
Cross-functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Fashion Designers, TPDs/Tech Designers, 3D Designers, Product
Developers, and
Merchandisers.
• Communicate with vendors to clarify pattern construction, corrections, and production feasibility.
• Support Customer Service and
Product owners with technical clarity on fit and quality issues.
Customer-Driven Product Improvement
• Analyze customer returns, reviews, and fit-related feedback.
• Update patterns, grading, or construction methods to improve customer satisfaction and reduce returns.
