Planning Specialist

Job Purpose:
The Production Planning Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining production plans, work orders, and schedules to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery. This role involves coordinating with logistic, cutting and sewing teams, managing WIP, optimizing planning files, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Scheduling
• Prepare and maintain master files, sewing plans, and cutting plans.
• Upload Kanban and update cutting summary plans for cutting teams.
• Rearrange demand to align with capacity and optimize workflow.
• Create and manage work orders (WO), including recut and cancellation reports.
• Track WIP and ensure timely submission and reporting.
Coordination & Communication
• Send shipment booking and production lists to relevant teams.
• Collaborate with cutting and sewing teams to ensure plan execution.
• Participate in production meetings and provide planning updates.
• Communicate changes and update WO as needed.
Reporting & Analysis
• Prepare Monday slide reports and update event tracking files.
• Monitor past-due and follow up for resolution.
• Conduct capacity vs actual checking and provide feedback to improve accuracy.
Continuous Improvement
• Optimize working files and streamline planning processes.
• Brainstorm and implement improvements in planning tasks.
• Support new style handovers and core style project updates.
