Pricing Specialist

As an integral member of our actuarial team, you will support all aspects of product pricing and other ad hoc actuarial projects. The Pricing Specialist is responsible for product pricing, including product value generation, product modelling, new business analysis, reinsurance activities, implementation support, and group insurance quotations. The Pricing team also supports the Product Development and Actuarial Reporting teams in channel compensation and benefit costing, market analysis, and other actuarial initiatives.
The incumbent will also support product development projects and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful product implementation and launch.
Strategic
• Support the development of profitable and competitive insurance products through pricing analysis and market assessments.
Effective Risk Management/Governance
• Ensure pricing activities comply with internal governance standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support model validation and pricing assumption reviews to ensure pricing accuracy and consistency.
Operational
• Assist the Product Development and Actuarial teams in designing product features, and liaise with business partners to understand product requirements and market needs as inputs to the product development process.
• Set up pricing spreadsheets, validate results using Prophet models, produce product tariff tables, and perform profitability and sensitivity testing.
• Perform product pricing, generate premium tables, and conduct profitability testing for new products.
• Prepare pricing reports and support product submissions to regulators and regional stakeholders..
• Modeling of life insurance products in Prophet: Traditional/Investment linked/Health and Medical product.
• Conduct market analysis of products and competitor trends, assess the needs and requirements of distribution channels, and recommend suitable product features.
• Perform the regular data analysis follow Vietnamese regulations and Asahi Livwell Life guidelines.
• Perform experience studies on expense, mortality and lapse rates.
• Manage reinsurance activities including quotation analysis, treaty review and administration.
• Assist the Product Development and Actuarial Reporting teams in conducting product profitability analyses, performing channel compensation and benefit costing, developing new business models, and supporting the business planning and budgeting process.
