Process Engineer

JOB SUMMARY
The Process Engineer will be responsible for process design, operation, and implementation for Osprey goods as they go through the product development lifecycle into mass production. The successful candidate will be able to improve industrial processes in order to maintain and seek gains in efficiency, reduce costs, improve sustainability, and maximize profitability in all phases of the product lifecycle.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design/Development
• Contributes as a team member in cross-functional projects from Design to Production.
• Record and analyze manufacturing process at Osprey Sample room and Production site.
• Work with Designers, Pattern Makers and Sewers (Osprey) to eliminate unnecessary processes in order to develop efficiency and cost-effectiveness that ensures a smooth transition of product from Development to Production.
• Conduct time studies for existing and new products.
• Build up and manage IE Database from Development to Production.
• Calculate and provide Sr. Consumption Technician with actual labor costs in order to calculate accurate FOB prices.
Industrialization/Production
• Assess processes, take measurements and interpret data for production products, improvements of processes or costs where possible.
• Corporate with Production Team to organize processes and product flow in order to maintain and improve labor costs.
• Participates in defining and documenting procedures for all aspects of Engineering & manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Works in cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and improve product quality & existing production processes.
• Works with Factory management to ensure manufacturing SOP's for each style have been created, verified, and are in place during production.

AUTHORITY & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
The Process Engineer is authorized to take reasonable action necessary to carry out responsibilities consistent with general guidance of the Sr. Consumption Technician. The Process Engineer is directly responsible to the Sr. Consumption Technician.
