This position is responsible to manage procurement team for raw materials
purchasing, develop supply chain strategy, and establish suppliers' terms & conditions to ensure building up the best supply chain service and achieving organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure POs are raised on time by the merchant team and the required follow up details are recorded on time by the team.
• Set up a mechanism and track every key activity to ensure that team executes their functions accurately and timely.
• Ensure OTT achievement across fabric and accessories to provide 100% line continuity to plants
• Main contact point for the relevant suppliers in order execution, issue resolution and process improvements.
• Liaise with planning, factory GMs/Cutting Teams, Head of QA, finance for issue resolution and payment coordination.
• Monitor the supplier performance on delivery and quality on a set cadence and discussions to be taken up on performance with the mills. Conduct the quarterly evaluation for key suppliers. Ensure all claims are recovered from suppliers.
• Work with the team on plant and incoming inspection related issues resolution (width, length and GSM issues) based on systematic problem-solving techniques to ensure issues are not recurrent.
• Coordinate with Senior Group Procurement Manager/ Chief Procurement Officer to establish & implement the supply chain strategy, and suppliers' terms & conditions. Ensure minimum 80% of the raw materials are purchased from the preferred suppliers as FGL's supply chain strategy
• Proactively participate in improvement projects (P24, SPARK,...) to achieve its target within the timeline.
• Responsible for Leftover reduction in the respective CBU through initiatives aimed at process improvement projects.
• Follow and maintain 5S standards in the working areas and surroundings.
• 100% process adherence to agreed processes that are signed off by ISO team.
• Coordinate with suppliers to establish lean practices in the supply chain.
• Manage and develop team by identifying training needs, implementing individual development plan (IDP), evaluating their performance and setting up their career development plan.
• Other tasks as assigned by Manager.
• Bachelor's degree in Textile and Garment Technology, Business Administration, or related fields. Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in similar capacity.
• Knowledge of textile and garment manufacturing process, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
