I.MAJOR FUNCTION (state in one short sentence why the job exists)

We are seeking a talented, organized, and passionate Producer fluent in Japanese to join our production team. In this role, you will serve as a crucial bridge between our company and our Japanese clients and partners. You will be responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle-from ideation and planning to final delivery. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong project management abilities, and a deep understanding of Japanese business culture to ensure that projects are delivered smoothly, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

II.JOB DESCRIPTION

Client Communication & Relationship Management:

Act as the main point of contact, communicating and working directly with Japanese clients and partners.
Lead meetings, present ideas, report progress, and gather feedback from clients in Japanese.
Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients.
Provide translation and interpretation support for documents, emails, and meetings as needed

Project Planning & Management:

Receive and analyze project requirements, clarifying objectives
and scope.
Develop detailed production plans, including timelines, resource allocation (personnel, equipment), and budget forecasts.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure smooth project execution.

Production Coordination:

Manage and coordinate the internal team (designers, developers, artists, etc.) to ensure everyone understands requirements and deadlines.
Track and monitor daily progress to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
Oversee the quality assurance (QA) process to ensure the final product meets or exceeds client expectations.

Budget Management & Reporting:

Closely monitor and manage the project budget.
Prepare regular reports on project status, budget, and performance for both management and clients.

III. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Producer, Project Manager, or in a similar project management role, preferably in the Animation or Video Production industry.
Proven track record of managing projects from conception to completion.
Fluency in Japanese (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) is mandatory.
Ability to communicate, negotiate, and present professionally in Japanese.
Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
Strong leadership, motivation, and teamwork abilities.
Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana) and office suites (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
Preferred Animation / Video Production industry.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

Proficiency in English is a strong advantage.
A deep understanding of the production pipeline in the Producer sector.
A portfolio of completed projects showcasing relevant experience and capabilities
